<abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="ab0010"> <title id="st0010">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="sp9010"> <list id="ulist9010"> <list-item id="u9010"> <label></label> <p id="p9010">A novel NK cell like subset is described in chicken blood.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="u9015"> <label></label> <p id="p9015">It is characterized by expression of high levels of the chicken Fc receptor CHIR-AB1, as well as other chicken NK cell markers.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="u9020"> <label></label> <p id="p9020">The cell subsets lacks B cell markers, and CD3, but expresses low CD4 levels.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="u9025"> <label></label> <p id="p9025">PMA stimulation induced high levels of IFNγ release.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
