Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="abs0005"> <title id="sect0005">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="spar0005"> <list id="lis0005"> <list-item id="lsti0005"> <label></label> <p id="par0005">We analyzed dysregulation of HER2 signaling pathways in 1275 cases of non-small cell lung carcinoma.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0010"> <label></label> <p id="par0010"> <italic>HER2</italic> mutations were detected in 46 (3.6%) of the non-small cell lung carcinomas, with mutations only present in the ADC.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0015"> <label></label> <p id="par0015">All <italic>HER2</italic>-mutated tumors were negative for other driver gene alterations.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0020"> <label></label> <p id="par0020"> <italic>HER2</italic> mutation status correlated with never-smoker status and patients with smaller tumor size.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0030"> <label></label> <p id="par0030">The overall survival rate was not significantly different between patients without and with <italic>HER2</italic> mutations.
