- <abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj413b7gq" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />Cycloplatination of XMeC<sub>6</sub>H<sub>4</sub>CCC-(R<sub>f</sub>) (N-4-OCH<sub>3</sub>C<sub>6</sub>H<sub>4</sub>) [X = S, Se and R<sub>f</sub> = perfluoroalkyl groups] with PtCl<sub>2</sub> gave a monomeric octahedral Pt(<sc>iv</sc>) complex. Emission and reactivity studies of the Pt(<sc>iv</sc>) complexes are discussed.</p> </abstract>
