- <abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj4121rdg" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />The slow visible light mediated generation of a rhodium hydride allows the chemoselective reduction of aldehydes in the presence of ketones. Electron transfer from the chromophore to the metal complex proceeds <italic>via</italic> a radical anion intermediate or a solvated electron as two competing reaction pathways.</p> </abstract>
