<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj412xc0m" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />Antibacterial phosphonium coatings were prepared by UV curing of phosphonium monomers. The simple approach and high stability of phosphoniums relative to ammoniums makes these coatings promising alternatives to ammonium surfaces.</p> </abstract>
