<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgjbg3j0z8" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />In this work we present a novel route to synthesize well defined germanium-silicon alloy (Ge_{<italic>x</italic>}Si_{1−<italic>x</italic>}) and core–shell nanocrystals (NCs) employing monosilane (SiH₄) and monogermane (GeH₄) as precursors in a continuously operated two-stage hot-wall aerosol reactor setup.</p> </abstract>
