<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgjbfwb8cs" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />This is a portable system for water contamination monitoring. Using live bacterial cells as bioreporters, we integrate temperature control, microfluidic sample introduction, bioluminescence detection, and recording software into a complete system.</p> </abstract>
