Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Two new iridoids, 6‐<italic>O</italic>‐[(<italic>E</italic>)‐feruloyl]jioglutin D (<bold>1</bold>) and 6‐<italic>O</italic>‐(4‐hydroxybenzoyl)jioglutin D (<bold>2</bold>), and six known compounds, minecoside (<bold>3</bold>), specioside (<bold>4</bold>), picroside II (<bold>5</bold>), picroside III (<bold>6</bold>), 4‐hydroxybenzoic acid (<bold>7</bold>), and martynoside (<bold>8</bold>), were isolated from the stem of <italic>Catalpa ovata.</italic> The structures of the new compounds were established on the basis of spectroscopic techniques, including 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR.</p> </abstract>
