- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Surface‐sulfur modified MoP catalyst is prepared by drop casting aliquots of 0.25 M (NH<sub>4</sub>)<sub>6</sub>Mo<sub>7</sub>O<sub>24</sub> and (NH<sub>4</sub>)<sub>2</sub>HPO<sub>4</sub> solutions on a Ti foil support followed by drying, thermal reduction (5% H<sub>2</sub>/N<sub>2</sub>, 650 °C, 2 h), and thermal sulfidation (10% H<sub>2</sub>S/H<sub>2</sub>, 400 °C, 15 min).</p> </abstract>
