Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>A simple and efficient approach to synthesize novel polysubstituted quinazolin‐4(3<italic>H</italic>)‐ones has been developed, and the key step is a sequential procedure involved iron‐mediated reduction and acid‐catalytic <named-content id="d102e1015" content-type="reactionType" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">cyclization</named-content>. The present method provides a convenient and practical strategy for the synthesis of quinazolin‐4(3<italic>H</italic>)‐one derivatives.</p> </abstract>
