<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Both of the title 6‐methyl‐2‐thioxopyrimidinones (VII) are synthesized via condensation of appropriate chiral aminobutanoates (IV) with aryl isothiocyanates (V) as the key step.The compounds are screened in vitro against prostate cancer cell lines, PC‐3 and LNCaP.</p> </abstract>
