<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>The reaction of 4‐substituted substrates [e.g. (I)] give the 3‐methylene‐indan‐1‐ols in good yields with high enantioselectivities whereas, 5‐ and 6‐substituted substrates occasionally afford the corresponding Stille coupling product.</p> </abstract>
