Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>Peptide ligands efficiently aid brain‐targeted drug delivery by hijacking cognate receptors expressed on brain capillary endothelial cells. However, enzymatic barriers inactivate <sc>L</sc>‐peptides and undermine the transport efficiency. In their Communication on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">page 3023 ff., </ext-link> W. Lu, C.
