Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main"> <title>ABSTRACT</title> <p>This paper recognizes and celebrates Dr. Yamuna Kachru's multiple research contributions. Continuing with the metaphor of the powerful River Yamuna that the preceding paper uses, this one explores two tributaries or, more specifically, two applications of her research, namely, the value of her contributions to the field of childhood education and to professional communication. Implications and directions for future research are also outlined.</p> </abstract>
