- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>Three new complexes with 3, 6‐dichlorobenzene‐1, 2‐dithiol (bdtCl<sub>2</sub>), namely methyltriphenylphosphonium bis(3, 6‐dichlorobenzene‐1, 2‐dithiolato‐κ<sup>2</sup><italic>S</italic>, <italic>S</italic>′)cobaltate(1−), (C<sub>19</sub>H<sub>18</sub>P)[Co(C<sub>6</sub>H<sub>2</sub>Cl<sub>2</sub>S<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>], (I), bis(methyltriphenylphosphonium) bis(3, 6‐dichlorobenzene‐1, 2‐dithiolato‐κ<sup>2</sup><italic>S</italic>, <italic>S</italic>′)cuprate(2−) dimethyl sulfoxide disolvate, (C<sub>19</sub>H<sub>18</sub>P)<sub>2</sub>[Cu(C<sub>6</sub>H<sub>2</sub>Cl<sub>2</sub>S<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>]·2C<sub>2</sub>H<sub>6</sub>OS, (II), and methyltriphenylphosphonium bis(3, 6‐dichlorobenzene‐1, 2‐dithiolato‐κ<sup>2</sup><italic>S</italic>, <italic>S</italic>′)cuprate(1−), (C<sub>19</sub>H<sub>18</sub>P)[Cu(C<sub>6</sub>H<sub>2</sub>Cl<sub>2</sub>S<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>], (III), have been synthesized and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The X‐ray structure analyses of all three complexes confirm that the four donor S atoms form a slightly distorted square‐planar coordination arrangement around the central metal atom.
