<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgh3qrj0b7m" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />Pyridine-2, 6-dimethanol shows a neutral, monoanionic and dianionic coordination behaviour with two different coordination modes <italic>viz.</italic> tridentate and bidentate towards Cu(<sc>ii</sc>), leading to three different geometric environments around Cu(<sc>ii</sc>) centers.</p> </abstract>
