<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgh3qrdcb51" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />A novel N-doped hollow hierarchical carbon-shell/carbon-nanorod arrays (N-HPC) have been constructed. When evaluated as electrode material for LIBs and supercapacitors, the N-HPC manifests outstanding rate capability and excellent cycling performance.</p> </abstract>
