Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>The back cover picture shows</bold> the satiety hormone pancreatic polypeptide binding to a comparative model of human Y₄ receptor. At the highlighted positions, diverse saturated fatty acids were systematically introduced via peptide synthesis on solid support. The most promising analogue, containing a propanoyl moiety, exhibited improved receptor selectivity and stability in blood plasma and liver homogenates, thus representing a suitable drug candidate for antiobesity therapy.
