- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>The series of garnets Li<sub>7.08</sub>Ga<sub>0.06</sub>La<sub>2.93</sub>Zr<sub>2.02 </sub>O<sub>12</sub>, Li<sub>6.50</sub>Ga<sub>0.15</sub>La<sub>2.96</sub>Zr<sub>2.05 </sub>O<sub>12</sub>, Li<sub>6.48</sub>Ga<sub>0.23</sub>La<sub>2.93</sub>Zr<sub>2.04 </sub>O<sub>12</sub>, Li<sub>5.93</sub>Ga<sub>0.36</sub>La<sub>2.94</sub>Zr<sub>2.01 </sub>O<sub>12</sub>, Li<sub>5.38</sub>Ga<sub>0.53</sub>La<sub>2.96</sub>Zr<sub>2.00 </sub>O<sub>12</sub>, Li<sub>4.82</sub>Ga<sub>0.60</sub>La<sub>2.96</sub>Zr<sub>2.02 </sub>O<sub>12</sub>, and Li<sub>4.53</sub>Ga<sub>0.72</sub>La<sub>2.94</sub>Zr<sub>1.98 </sub>O<sub>12</sub> is synthesized by solid state reaction of stoichiometric mixtures of Li<sub>2</sub>CO<sub>3</sub>, La<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>, ZrO<sub>2</sub>, and Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> (Pt crucible, 1050 °C, 17 h in air).</p> </abstract>
