Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main"> <title>Abstract</title> <sec id="hed23748-sec-0001" sec-type="section"> <title>Background</title> <p>Seromucinous hamartoma, a type of epithelial hamartoma, is a rare benign glandular proliferation of the sinonasal tract and nasopharynx. Herein, we present 2 rare cases of seromucinous hamartoma arising in the nasal cavity medial to the middle turbinate.</p> </sec> <sec id="hed23748-sec-0002" sec-type="section"> <title>Methods and Results</title> <p>This is a case report of 2 patients diagnosed with seromucinous hamartoma of the nasal cavity and a review of the literature.</p> </sec> <sec id="hed23748-sec-0003" sec-type="section"> <title>Conclusion</title> <p>Seromucinous hamartoma of the nasal cavity is an exceedingly rare diagnosis but should be included in the differential diagnosis of a posterior nasal tumor.
