- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201305099-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Organic vapor‐phase deposition</bold> (OVPD) is used to grow tetraphenyldibenzoperiflanthen (DBP):C<sub>70</sub> mixed heterojunction photovoltaic devices. Compared with vacuum thermal evaporation (VTE), the OVPD‐grown film develops nanocrystalline domains of C<sub>70</sub>. Optimized OVPD‐grown OPVs have a 61% fill factor for a 100 nm active layer thickness, whereas VTE‐grown devices have a 47% fill factor at the same thickness. <boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgh5bnnts" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
