Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <sec id="avj12123-sec-0001" sec-type="section"> <title>Case report</title> <p>An 8‐year‐old female cockatiel (<italic>Nymphicus hollandicus</italic>) was presented with coelomic distension. Palpation revealed an irregular intracoelomic mass. An exploratory coeliotomy was performed and the mass successfully removed. Histopathology determined the mass to be a respiratory hamartoma.</p> </sec> <sec id="avj12123-sec-0002" sec-type="section"> <title>Conclusion</title> <p>The bird recovered uneventfully and 2 years later showed no evidence of recurrence.</p> </sec> </abstract>
