- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Two new compounds, CaCuGeO<sub>4</sub>·H<sub>2</sub>O (I) and BaCu<sub>2</sub>Ge<sub>3</sub>O<sub>9</sub>·H<sub>2</sub>O (II), are hydrothermally synthesized from aqueous mixtures of CuSO<sub>4</sub>, Ca(OH)<sub>2</sub> or Ba(OH)<sub>2</sub>, and GeO<sub>2</sub> (autoclave, 230 °C, 7 d).</p> </abstract>
