<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>A first clathrate compound with Se guest atoms, [Ge<sub>46‐x</sub>P<sub>x</sub>]Se<sub>8‐y</sub>□<sub>y</sub> (x = 15.4; y = 0—2.65; □ = vacancy) is prepared from the elements (873 K, 72 h) and characterized by powder and single crystal XRD, SAED, TEM, and TB‐LMTO‐ASA electronic band structure computations.</p> </abstract>
