Abstract:: <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>The title reaction proceeds via two different routes: the self‐dimerization of two equivalents of the same aliphatic enal, and the hetero‐dimerization of two distinct enals in a regio‐ and chemoselective manner using racemic diphenyl prolinol Tms ether as catalyst.</p> </abstract>
