- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Black single crystals of Bi<sub>4</sub>Mn<sub>3</sub>O<sub>11.5</sub> are obtained besides Bi<sub>6</sub>O<sub>8</sub>Cl from the solid state reaction of Bi<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>, BiOCl, PbO, and MnO<sub>2</sub> (sealed Au tube, 1173 K, 12 h).</p> </abstract>
