Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>The antischistosomal effect</bold> of two [(η⁶‐praziquantel)Cr(CO)₃] derivatives was investigated. The compounds (see figure: Cr purple, N blue, O red) were prepared in a one‐step procedure from commercially available praziquantel. Both derivatives show a high in vitro activity against <italic>Schistosoma mansoni</italic>, a parasitic trematode, and only a minor cytotoxic effect on selected mammalian cell lines.<boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg1v4frs5k" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
