<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <sec id="jocs12453-sec-0001" sec-type="section"> <p>Attempts at transcatheter treatment of mitral valve regurgitation have generally been modeled on proven surgical procedures such as leaflet repair, annuloplasty, or prosthetic valve implantation.
