Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="short" id="echo12751-abs-0002"> <title>Mini‐Abstract</title> <p>A 16‐year‐old man was referred to our institution after a recovered sudden cardiac death supported with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. A three‐dimensional transesophageal echocardiography (3DTEE) revealed a left anterior descending coronary artery arising from the right coronary sinus with a course between the aorta and the pulmonary artery. After extracorporeal membrane oxygenation weaning, a multidetector computed tomography coronary angiogram scan confirmed the 3DTEE findings. Here, we suggested that 3DTEE can provide a reliable coronary anatomic assessment in some emergency cases when it is not possible to shift the patient out of the ICU.</p> </abstract>
