Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="smll201400513-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>A method to produce a structurally and functionally biomimetic three‐dimensional neuronal network on a microchip</bold> is reported, combining microchamber‐assisted, astrocyte‐enhanced assembly of glass microspheres as scaffold and microgroove‐guided multi‐layered neurite connections. Spontaneous neuronal activities of the interconnected neuronal networks are also recorded.
