Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>A new norlabdane diterpenoid, named vitrifolin A, was isolated from the fruits of <italic>Vitex trifolia</italic> Linn. var. <italic>simplicifolia</italic> Cham. Its structure was elucidated by mean of spectroscopic methods, including HRESIMS, IR, 1D and 2D NMR. The inhibitory effect of vitrifolin A on nitric oxide production in lipopolysaccarideactivated mouse macrophages was also evaluated.</p> </abstract>
