- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>Metal‐organic frameworks are comprised of two parts; metal ions or clusters and organic linkers. In this review we explore the various electrosynthesis methods developed for the formation of metal‐organic frameworks. The most well‐known and often‐used method is anodic dissolution. This method relies on the oxidation of a metallic anode, releasing metal ions into the solution. These cations then combine with linkers to form a metal organic framework.
