Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <sec id="cae21618-sec-0001" sec-type="section"> <p>We present <italic>Frequency Analyser</italic>, an Android^TM application for measuring the fundamental frequency of a sound wave with very high precision in a frequency range between 100 Hz and 11 kHz. The application allows exporting the data of frequency as a function of time to an ASCII file. Several examples of application to Physics and Engineering teaching experiments are presented. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
