- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>Palladium layers deposited from aqueous electrolytes are susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement. Such layers are compared with deposits from anhydrous ionic liquid (IL) concerning residual stresses, indentation hardness, and wear.
