- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Ba<sub>3</sub>Si<sub>4</sub>H<sub>x</sub> (x = 1‐2) is prepared by pressurized sintering of the Si<sub>4</sub><sup>6‐</sup> butterfly‐shaped polyanions containing Zintl phase Ba<sub>3</sub>Si<sub>4</sub> in H<sub>2</sub> (corundum crucible in an autoclave, 10 bar H<sub>2</sub> (20 bar D<sub>2</sub>), 300 °C, 40 h).</p> </abstract>
