<abstract abstract-type="main"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>Arylated benzofurans were prepared by <named-content content-type="reactionType" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">regioselective</named-content><named-content content-type="reactionType" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Suzuki–Miyaura cross‐coupling reactions</named-content> of 2, 3‐dibromobenzofuran. The reactions proceeded with very good site‐selectivity in favor of the more electron deficient position 2. The <named-content content-type="reactionType" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Suzuki–Miyaura</named-content> reactions of 2, 3, 5‐tribromobenzofuran also proceeded in favor of position 2.</p> </abstract>
