- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <italic> <bold>Nature seeds pathways</bold> </italic> to hierarchical structures, which scientists strive to emulate through the synthesis of advanced nanostructures. In their Communication on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">page 1181 ff., </ext-link> R. G. Weiner and S. E. Skrabalak describe the synthesis of hierarchically stellated nanocrystals by sequential seed‐directed overgrowth.
