- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <italic> <bold>Superstable Separators</bold> </italic> (solid electrolytes) are required for novel aqueous‐based high‐energy lithium batteries, to enable their long‐term operation. In their Communication on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">page 129 ff., </ext-link> C. Ma, M. Chi, et al. demonstrate excellent stability and conductivity of the cubic Li<sub>7</sub>La<sub>3</sub>Zr<sub>2</sub>O<sub>12</sub> garnet in neutral and strongly basic solutions, indicating it may be the ideal solid electrolyte for next‐generation high‐energy lithium batteries.<boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgh30vgjcv5" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
