- <abstract abstract-type="main"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <sec id="jmri24505-sec-0001" sec-type="section"> <title>Purpose</title> <p>To identify magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)‐based parameters associated with gastroesophageal varices (GEVs) in patients with chronic liver disease.</p> </sec> <sec id="jmri24505-sec-0002" sec-type="section"> <title>Materials and Methods</title> <p>Ninety‐three patients were divided into three groups based on endoscopic findings: group 1 with no GEVs (<italic>n</italic> = 49), group 2 with mild GEVs (<italic>n</italic> = 30), and group 3 with severe GEVs (<italic>n</italic> = 14).
