- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>A series of blue‐to‐white emitting Mg<sub>2</sub>Al<sub>4</sub>Si<sub>5</sub>O<sub>18</sub>: Eu<sup>2+</sup>, Mn<sup>2+</sup> phosphors are prepared via high‐temperature solid‐state reaction of stoichiometric amounts of MgO, Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>, H<sub>2</sub>SiO<sub>3</sub>, MnCO<sub>3</sub>, and La<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> (8 wt%) as a flux (alumina crucible, 1300 °C, 6 h, 10% H<sub>2</sub>/N<sub>2</sub> reducing atmosphere).</p> </abstract>
