<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="marc201470087-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Front Cover:</bold> The synthesis of azobenzene‐functionalized polyimide materials and their employment to transduce light into electricity when laminated with the piezoelectric polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is illustrated. Photopiezoelectric conversion is originated within the amorphous azobenzene‐functionalized polyimides which subsequently subjects PVDF to stress resulting in an electrical signal.
