- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Three (9<italic>βH</italic>)‐pimaranes, <bold>1, 2</bold>, and <bold>3</bold>, and two (9<italic>βH</italic>)‐17‐norpimaranes, <bold>4</bold> and <bold>5</bold>, belonging to a rare compound class in nature, were obtained from the tubers of <italic>Icacina trichantha</italic> for the first time. Compound <bold>1</bold> is a new natural product, and <bold>2</bold>–<bold>5</bold> have been previously reported. The structures were elucidated based on NMR and MS data, and optical rotation values. The absolute configurations of (9<italic>βH</italic>)‐pimaranes were unambiguously established based on X‐ray crystallographic analysis. Full NMR signal assignments for the known compounds <bold>2, 4</bold>, and <bold>5</bold>, which were not available in previous publications, are also reported. All five isolates displayed cytotoxic activities on MDA‐MB‐435 cells (<italic>IC</italic><sub>50</sub> 0.66–6.44 μ<sc>M</sc>), while <bold>2, 3</bold>, and <bold>4</bold> also exhibited cytotoxicities on HT‐29 cells (<italic>IC</italic><sub>50</sub> 3.00–4.94 μ<sc>M</sc>).</p> </abstract>
