Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201403834-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>The preparation and characterization</bold> of a new thin‐film organic‐based magnet V[MeTCEC]_{<italic>x</italic>} (V = vanadium; MeTCEC = methyl tricaynoethylenecarboxylate) via low‐temperature chemical vapor deposition (50 °C) is reported. These thin films exhibit room‐temperature magnetic ordering and semiconducting behavior, demonstrating the ability of tuning their magnetic, and potentially spintronic, functionality via chemical modification of the organic ligand. <boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgh2hmvp023" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
