Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="lpor201400022-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>Vanadate crystals are prominent optical materials, and play important roles in optics, especially in lasers and nonlinear optics. In recent years, vanadate crystals are being developed with the goal of fulfilling the need for differential applications and improvement of certain operational aspects. In this paper, the preparation, characterization and laser applications of vanadate laser crystals are reviewed by highlighting the most recent research progress.
