- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201470270-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>When magnetic ellipsoidal particles adsorbed at a fluid–fluid interface are subjected to a magnetic field directed normal to the interface, they tilt with respect to the interface and deform the interface in a dipolar fashion. These dipolar deformations interact with each other and cause particles to assemble into chain‐like structures. This is described in work by G. B.
