- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Single crystals of the new compound KBaAsO<sub>4</sub> are prepared from a mixture of As<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>, Ba(NO<sub>3</sub>)<sub>2</sub>, KOH, and H<sub>2</sub>O (autoclave, 230 °C, 24 h) and single crystals of KBaMnO<sub>4</sub> are obtained from a mixture of Ba(OH)<sub>2</sub>, KMnO<sub>4</sub>, KOH, NaOH, and H<sub>2</sub>O (autoclave, 230 °C, 12 h).</p> </abstract>
