- <abstract> <title>Abstract</title> <p> <italic>Objective</italic>. To explore the methods of improving the medical record archiving management so as to effectively solve the problem of difficult medical record archiving and further guarantee timely reuse of medical records. <italic>Methods</italic>. Hospital questionnaires are performed according to clinical and objective reasons causing overdue in medical record archiving, and outstanding problems are found out using a root cause analysis (RCA) method and intervened. <italic>Result</italic>. The intervened effects are tracked. The results show that the three-day archiving rate of medical records rises 1.26% under conditions and that the year-on-year medical record recycling amount in the next year increases to 1, 979 copies. <italic>Conclusion</italic>. The way of thinking is changed using a RCA quality management mode, in-depth analysis is performed, and the fundamental constraint factors are found, which are the effective means of solving the problem of difficult timely archiving of medical records in medical record management.</p> </abstract>
