- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Single crystals of potassium titanate hollandites K<sub>1.5</sub>Sc<sub>1.5</sub>Ti<sub>6.5</sub>O<sub>16</sub>, K<sub>1.4</sub>Ti<sub>8</sub>O<sub>16</sub>, K<sub>1.5</sub>V<sub>1.5</sub>Ti<sub>6.5</sub>O<sub>16</sub>, K<sub>1.5</sub>Cr<sub>1.5</sub>Ti<sub>6.5</sub>O<sub>16</sub>, K<sub>1.6</sub>Ni<sub>0.8</sub>Ti<sub>7.2</sub>O<sub>16</sub>, K<sub>1.4</sub>Mn<sub>1.4</sub>Ti<sub>6.6</sub>O<sub>16</sub>, K<sub>1.5</sub>Fe<sub>1.5</sub>Ti<sub>6.5</sub>O<sub>16</sub>, K<sub>1.5</sub>Co<sub>0.75</sub>Ti<sub>7.25</sub>O<sub>16</sub>, and K<sub>1.6</sub>Ni<sub>0.8</sub>Ti<sub>7.2</sub>O<sub>16</sub> are prepared by a flux method from transition metal oxides and KCl in a molar ratio of 1:10 (alumina crucibles, 1473—1573 K, 12 h).</p> </abstract>
