- <abstract> <title> <x content-type="archive" xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>A novel decarburisation process in an RH (Ruhstahl hausen Process) degasser (RH aside spray technique) has been proposed, plant trials have been carried out and the ruling factors have been analysed. The results indicate that the decarburisation process is accelerated, which results in a shorter treatment time of at least 3 min. Enlargement of the interfacial reaction area is considered to be the main decarburisation mechanism. Further study is recommended.</p> </abstract>
