- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="aenm201400311-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Low electron mobility is identified as the primary reason for the poor thickness dependence</bold> of poly[4, 8‐bis[(2‐ethylhexyl)oxy]benzo[1, 2‐b:4, 5‐b′]dithiophene‐2, 6‐diyl][3‐fluoro‐2‐[(2‐ethylhexyl)carbonyl]thieno[3, 4‐b]thiophenediyl] (PTB7):[6, 6]‐phenyl‐C61‐butyric acid (PCBM) organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices relative to poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT):PCBM. A thickness dependence in PTB7:PCBM comparable to that in P3HT:PCBM is achieved using an increased fullerene loading, demonstrating the considerable efficiency gains available through improving connectivity in the fullerene phase. <boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgh1fbs8cvc" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
